MOTOLAO operates from its head office in Luang Prabang, Laos. The mentioned office handles all bookings and communication with clients, passengers and agents.

Bookings for other countries than Laos are immediately passed on to responsible operation offices in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Hanoi, Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Hoh Chi Minh City (Saigon). Online bookings are possible and are made through our head office in Luang Prabang and are only accepted by return confirmation emails.

Bookings of short trips and private trips shown online:
 We only promote private tours on our online market/websites which ensure you get a seat on your tour/elephant/boat/flight/hotel before you arrive. Due to the higher cost and the internet consultancy the prices may vary from a walk in rate. Therefore our Internet rates are slightly higher than walk in rates but ensure pre-arranged services.

The invoiced tour price is payable at the latest 2 weeks prior to arrival of the customer (start of journey) or as agreed upon prior to booking. Payment shall be made in US$, into the account of our mentioned bank in Laos and only to our company bank account in Laos. Cash payments for daytrips and short adventure tours up to 3-4 days of duration are accepted in our head office in Luang Prabang as well as payments by Visa card (3% surcharge). Any banking fees for transfers have to be paid/covered by the sender/client/partner/customer. If bank fees were not covered in time of transfer, the difference will be charged on time of arrival.

Walk In Clients who book their tours in Luang Prabang have to pay their trip prior to departure in Cash US$, Kip, Bhat, Euro or by Visa Card. – the daily exchange rate is used for calculations

The scope of contractual services rendered by MOTOLAO is as set out in the valid tariff or website offers and the specifications in the relevant tour confirmation. Any amendments to and modifications of contractual services only apply when confirmed in writing by MOTOLAO. Changes in our services may occur through unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, political situations, road conditions and other.

In case of cancellation fees will be charged as follow:

The amount of cancellation fees depends on the day of receipt of the written cancellation at the head office which may send by Email/Fax. Phone calls will not be accepted.

– 30 to 15 days before arrival date – 30% of tour price

– 14 to 7 days before arrival date – 50% of tour price

– 6 to 1 days before arrival date or on arrival – 100% of tour price

– No show and cancellation on day of departure – 100% of tour price

MOTOLAO may claim losses exceeding the flat rate cancellation fee, whenever proof of such loss can be provided.

You are of course entitled to furnish proof to MOTOLAO that no loss has yet occurred or that it is considerably lower than the charged of the flat rate. MOTOLAO is entitled to pass on additional costs to the client if charged for by service providers (e.g. fees for unoccupied beds / seats).

For cancellation of a day trip bookings done in Luang Prabang Offices on the start day itself, 50% will be charged. No show will be charged by 100%. If you have booked a pre-arranged tour via Internet or phone please wait for our pick up service at time stated in your voucher or 8:30-9:00 am. Please specify your hotel and place of pick up prior to start of the tour.

If you can not be in time, especially for join in tour purchased in Laos itself, please give the information to our office with given contact details. Otherwise we will leave without giving refunds. In case of missed pick-ups from our side, please contact one of our offices immediately.

MOTOLAO is not liable for any injury, loss or damage the traveler suffers during in connection with the journey, nor for itinerary modifications due to circumstances beyond MOTOLAO´s control.

Our Clients have to understand that our adventure excursions by their very nature involve risks and dangers and clients shall assume all responsibility for any loss, injury, or death of themselves. Clients shall not held Tiger Trail or its personnel responsible, whatsoever, for any injuries, damages, losses or delays neither to persons or property nor for extra costs arising from unforeseen complications for any reasons during the adventure trip.

Furthermore, all clients have to be aware that MOTOLAO reserves the right to inspect all equipment at the outset of the excursion to ensure proper working order.

Having done so, I agree to pay for all damages to the equipment instigated by my negligence.

The stated prices apply according to validity mentioned in the quotation.

If passport, visa, customs, health or currency provisions of individual countries are not met by the passenger, thus preventing him to participate in the journey, MOTOLAO may charge the corresponding cancellation fees to the customer (organizer).

If MOTOLAO accepts to arrange for visas and/or similar documents, it acts on behalf of the organizer (agency).

Any risk in connection with the issuing refusal of such documents shall be borne by the organizer alone.

Should any clause or provision of this tourist travel contract become void or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining contract shall not be affected or impaired thereby.

Place of jurisdiction for actions brought against MOTOLAO shall be its responsible operation office.
