Bookings for other countries than Laos are immediately passed on to responsible operation offices in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Hanoi, Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Hoh Chi Minh City (Saigon). Online bookings are possible and are made through our head office in Luang Prabang and are only accepted by return confirmation emails.
Bookings of short trips and private trips shown online: We only promote private tours on our online market/websites which ensure you get a seat on your tour/elephant/boat/flight/hotel before you arrive. Due to the higher cost and the internet consultancy the prices may vary from a walk in rate. Therefore our Internet rates are slightly higher than walk in rates but ensure pre-arranged services.
Walk In Clients who book their tours in Luang Prabang have to pay their trip prior to departure in Cash US$, Kip, Bhat, Euro or by Visa Card. – the daily exchange rate is used for calculations
The amount of cancellation fees depends on the day of receipt of the written cancellation at the head office which may send by Email/Fax. Phone calls will not be accepted.
– 30 to 15 days before arrival date – 30% of tour price
– 14 to 7 days before arrival date – 50% of tour price
– 6 to 1 days before arrival date or on arrival – 100% of tour price
– No show and cancellation on day of departure – 100% of tour price
MOTOLAO may claim losses exceeding the flat rate cancellation fee, whenever proof of such loss can be provided.
You are of course entitled to furnish proof to MOTOLAO that no loss has yet occurred or that it is considerably lower than the charged of the flat rate. MOTOLAO is entitled to pass on additional costs to the client if charged for by service providers (e.g. fees for unoccupied beds / seats).
If you can not be in time, especially for join in tour purchased in Laos itself, please give the information to our office with given contact details. Otherwise we will leave without giving refunds. In case of missed pick-ups from our side, please contact one of our offices immediately.
Our Clients have to understand that our adventure excursions by their very nature involve risks and dangers and clients shall assume all responsibility for any loss, injury, or death of themselves. Clients shall not held Tiger Trail or its personnel responsible, whatsoever, for any injuries, damages, losses or delays neither to persons or property nor for extra costs arising from unforeseen complications for any reasons during the adventure trip.
Furthermore, all clients have to be aware that MOTOLAO reserves the right to inspect all equipment at the outset of the excursion to ensure proper working order.
Having done so, I agree to pay for all damages to the equipment instigated by my negligence.
If passport, visa, customs, health or currency provisions of individual countries are not met by the passenger, thus preventing him to participate in the journey, MOTOLAO may charge the corresponding cancellation fees to the customer (organizer).
If MOTOLAO accepts to arrange for visas and/or similar documents, it acts on behalf of the organizer (agency).
Any risk in connection with the issuing refusal of such documents shall be borne by the organizer alone.
Should any clause or provision of this tourist travel contract become void or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining contract shall not be affected or impaired thereby.
Place of jurisdiction for actions brought against MOTOLAO shall be its responsible operation office.
